My missing aruma

Arie! Arie!

Where have you gone my little aruma

The air is silent from your joyful laughter

My heart is full of sorrow at your loss

Arie aruma!

Arie baiya!

I am tossing and turning

I am broken and crushed

Oh god of my grandfathers

You that whisper the spells of victory

And bring the rain of good harvest

Attend to my dying need

Please bring to shelter my aruma

I call out loud

Hear your name aruma

I call out in desperation

I will sleep not tonight

I will eat not tonight

Till I find my little aruma

Arie! Arie!

Translations:

Arie: a word expressing great pain of loss

Aruma: girl

Baiya: mother
